Individuals
Using a blended approach, my aim is to help you get to the root causes and change that sticks. I primarily work with men.
Couples
With training specifically in couples therapy, I am committed to helping you break patterns, rebuild trust, and find more ease.
Groups
Having our vulnerability and struggle witnessed by others can be transformational. I have facilitated groups for men for over a decade.
Treatment Focuses
-
Feeling isolated, disconnected, dysregulated, or maybe you just want more from life even if you don’t know what that is right now. We will work on finding you some relief while taking time to explore more in-depth changes.
-
“If only my partner would be more XYZ my relationship would be fine.” This is a wishful thought but unlikely. Individually, we will explore unconscious patterns and neglected parts. For couples, we will look at both partners’ contributions to the dynamic, but we may prioritize one partner to start for the sake of real change.
-
Grief can come in many forms and often without the closure we are seeking. I have had the privilege of working with patients near their end-of-life as a hospice volunteer, so impermanence is a topic we can safely explore.
-
Often it can feel like we are spinning our wheels internally to incite change in our lives, but without results. The body is the portal to the mind, heart, and soul, so we will look at your being as a whole system to help support the transformation you’re seeking.
-
Not all substance use problems are addiction and not all addictions are substance use. I have experience in harm reduction and healing root causes with alcohol, marijuana, and compulsive sexual behavior.
-
As a former startup executive, I know firsthand the experiences of overperforming, burnout, feeling stuck, wondering if there was more out there, and success not translating to happiness.
-
We learned early on to ignore our emotions, people-please, and tell half truths to receive the love and career success we wanted. Eventually this comes at a cost to living fulfilled and authentic lives. We will take a hard look at honest communication, clear boundaries, and honoring our emotions for a more alive, free, and connected life.
-
"If you think you are enlightened, go and spend a week with your family." - Ram Dass. We can’t change how complicated our families are, but we can change the way we show up and the ways in which they impact us.
-
An altered state of consciousness journey can bring huge meaning and insights. Those insights can be immensely impactful and lead to real change in our day-to-day lives when we have the support to prepare before the journey and integrate afterwards.
-
Sometimes our challenges don’t always have clear answers or lessons to learn. And uncertainty in life is unavoidable. I have an eclectic spirtual background, and I am happy to meet you wheverever you are at, but I will not impose any personal beliefs in our conversations.

My Approach
I approach my work with clients from a place of deep grounded energy and genuine curiosity. I am going to be authentic, honest, and direct, which means I am going to tell you what I really think and feel—no blank slate. My approach to therapy is based on a relational, somatic, IFS, holistic, and psychodynamic lens. We will look at your attachment style, past relationships, and roles to see what patterns may have been unknowingly created. We will take time to understand what signals your body is giving you and the emotions you are experiencing. We will get to know all parts of you with curiosity and compassion. We will look at your treatment in the context of your relationships, work, and health. All of these approaches are for the purpose of uncovering and healing the source of our challenges, not just tools to modify behaviors.
My Background
I am a licensed social worker in New York State and got my Masters in Social Work from Hunter College. I have been helping men build deeper connections with themselves and their loved ones for over a decade. I also was a regular hospice volunteer for years, spending time with and holding space for people at their end-of-life. Therapy is a second career for me. Before therapy, I spent several years helping build start ups in executive leadership roles. I understand what it means to deal with the reality and stress that comes with working in the real world.

I do not subscribe to any single therapy intervention. Instead I focus on building a deep, trusting connection and feel into what might be most helpful for a given moment. All of the modalities I pull from are geared towards getting to the sources of our challenges for more sustained change. These frameworks include Relational Psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Psychodynamic Theory.
